We flew into Charlotte, North Carolina, and hired a car for our ‘Deep South’ road trip. Our trip took us through Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.

The highlights for me were The Grand Ole Opry’, Nashville, Graceland, Memphis, Little Rock, Arkansas, the food in New Orleans, Louisiana, the Gulf Coast and Savannah, Georgia.

I also found the ‘Miracle on the Hudson’ museum at the airport very interesting. It housed the actual plane that pilot ‘Sully’ ditched in the Hudson river after it struck a flock of geese shortly after take off. All 155 people on board survived.
