The area is called Marjan Hill. It was scrubland until the people of Split developed it into an area for leisure pursuits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The road train dropped us at the entrance to the Diocletian Palace and the statue of Gregory of Nin, a 10th century Croatian Bishop. If you rub his toe it is said to bring good luck so he has a very shiny toe!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then we walked along the waterfront back to the ship, getting caught in a shower on the way!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
