A ‘drabble’ is a story of exactly 100 words.

The world had magically changed overnight. All the familiar sights and smells had disappeared. He tentatively stepped through the portal into the new world, alert to danger. What enchantment was this? His feet had disappeared below the crust. He blinked as the blinding white light reflecting off all surfaces burned his eyes. He shivered as an icy cold seeped into his bones. Looking around he noticed that no one else seemed at all perturbed by the changes that had occurred in his world while he, unknowingly, slept peacefully in his cosy bed. He paused uncertainly.

“Come on old boy. Fetch!”
