Today we arrived in Bratislava. After breakfast we visited the castle and the town.
After lunch back on the boat we were treated to a fascinating talk by one of our fellow passengers – Colonel Piers Storie-Pugh – about his father’s experiences in Colditz.
After the talk we went up on the sun deck to watch as our boat went through the Gabcikovo Lock.
Looks like you having a fantastic holiday, lovely places to see, was the sailing smooth?
River cruising is very smooth.
Hello Carol
I’m enjoying reading your daily posts and seeing your photos. It looks like you’re getting to see a lot of interesting places and then relaxing back on board too. Hope the food’s good and the sun continues to shine!
Excellent food but a bit too much sunshine. Thank goodness for air conditioning!
Those locks are something else, aren’t they. HUGE.
I would have enjoyed the talk about Colditz.
Obviously the weather is great, you must be having a fabulous time.
You would love to meet Piers. He does several talks about war graves etc.
Thank you Carol, for your super photos. Vienna looks amazing, has been on my bucket list. Really enjoyed seeing your trip. Gill
